Spring 2008
March 24 ~ Easter
We colored eggs on Friday evening.
March 17 ~ Exercise bike
Valerie has the opportunity to buy a used exercise bike at her work. We are breaking down and buying it (great deal). We will see how long its used before it turns into the classic cloths hanger.

March 16 ~ RC Cars
A coworker of mine gave my boys an old (not so old) cheap RC car of his. The two boys did remarkably well driving it along with the one we have. They did not do so well at sharing. They both wanted the new one. Jack has taken to the one Dad got for Christmas.

March 16 ~ Ball at the Park
The past couple of weekends we have gone down to the park (the big one) for an hour or so with the boys to play. Its really a great break in the day. We have also picniced and fed the ducks as we walk all around the park.

March 14 ~ Artillery Gun
I spent $8 on a 1/35 scale 7.5 cm German anti tank gun. Valerie dressed me down because of this!
~Brett
Its not that I mind him putting together models. It is just that he has 15 at least, in the closet, sitting in boxes! Put those together before buying any more!

March 9 ~ Yard
My yard is dead. The front is doing pretty good. I don’t know what to do about the back. I think re-soding is the only option.
~Brett
We could do spot soding and then we have to sand the ground to bring the level up so it doesn’t die again. We should have done it last year but I was pregnant …

March 3 ~ Is the Pool Open Yet?
Tristan is truly ready for the pool to be open. We should have done the Polar Plunge. On a cold morning those crazy enough go down the slide into the water in February. I think we will sign up for it next year, or at least let Tristan do it, so we can make it a month or two longer with out hearing every time we drive by “Is the pool open, why not?”

February ~ Trip to WV & VA
Skiing. Finally after ? years (I’m too lazy to think about how many years, but not too much so to write how lazy I am) we went skiing. Check out the Gallery. Great time. Tristan went for the first time. He went to mid station. Snow was slow as we had 18” of fresh powder. NICE. Jack and Tristan both enjoyed the nightly, after dark, sledding trips outside. Mostly around the circle of the parking lot in front of the ski condo.
Lucius was Baptized. It was very nice. Father Leo did the baptism in the church we got married in. To think that was 8 years ago. Luke Nowocin is the godfather and Juliette Miller, formerly Vento, is the godmother. We had a great get together at Mom and Dad’s afterwards.

February ~ Samson is Deaf
I’m pretty sure that Samson is stone deaf. He’s 12. I guess I should ask the vet about it. His ears don’t seem to hurt him.

February ~ Tristan's Birthday
We were late in planning it but it went well. Mom and Dad Vento and Aunt Maria were here. We asked Tristan what he wanted to do… Chucky Cheese with Ian and Ryan for the afternoon and then a party at the house with all the neighborhood. Grammy made the cake and Dad (Brett) put the COOL Transformer on the center of it. It was lots of fun.

January ~ Zoo Pass
We got a Zoo pass for Christmas, so watch out for exciting new zoo trip posts! We’ve already been this year. It was packed, parking was out the front gate. Just a beautiful day.
