2009 Part 2

May 20 ~ Art
I recently realized that I do not have any of my personal art collected online anywhere. In the past I had a website for professional purposes, but I’ve become neglectful of my art and decided that I should show off a few things that I’ve done. So, for all of those 3-15 hits per day I get on this site- take a look. It’s all 3d.

May 20 ~ Rain
Too much rain! We’ve gone from drought to monsoon. Valerie says that the teachers are so desperate at daycare that they have opened the back door so that the kids can LOOK out at the playground.
On the bright side the ground is saturated so the standing water might raise enough to clean the dog pee off the back porch (they don’t like walking out in the rain).

May 20 ~ Go-cart
Jacksonville has a public go-cart track. Maybe I should build a go-cart with the boys and teach them about engines and such in a fun way.

Sounds like good father-son bonding, right?

May 12 ~ Stoked
We are working up plans to go back out to San Francisco! Thanks to Aunt Maria, we may be back eating clam chowder and stalking Sequoias.

May 10 ~ Lawn
It's dead now - completely, and seeded. We are trying Argentina Bahaia vs. sodding with St Augustine.

May 08 ~ Lucius talking for Mother’s Day
Instead of screaming blankly from his crib he is now screaming “Mama”. Yeah, now it sounds personal. Ah, the sweet sounds of suffering children - music to my cold heartless ears. He pointed to his nose, ears, eyes and said them this weekend. It is hilarious to hear him calling Maggie, and telling her to sit, down…

For Mother’s Day the boy’s made me cards. They are beautiful. Daddy got a special card for Momma and we all had cake. Yum, yum. Oh. I also, got to work around the house by myself. I know excited about house work. But I had slowly started to transition the room next to Tristan & Jack’s from the play room to Lucius over the evenings, so I put in a couple hours switching the stuff. On Sunday afternoon we switched Lucius crib. Toys still not complete organized but dropped into place.

May 05 ~ Maggie
We got a special gift for the boys for Easter, a brand spank’n new boxer girl - Maggie. She’s a pup and growing as fast as my sister’s reputation on prom night (it’s just a joke Katherine).

We looked at the pound for some time but couldn’t find one we agreed on. Boxers move fast there apparently.
~Brett

May 4 ~ Camping
We camped out at Blue Springs State Park for two nights. I think it went well. I did make a little mistake by cooking ribs and corn on the cob for a 6 year old with no front teeth. Poor guy - had to starve...oh well.

April ~ Fountain
Can you say tax refund. We thought we would do something fun for us and the house this year. We also needed to put something in the spot that we had to take down an oak tree. The builders in this area seem to have no problem planting large trees just 6 feet from a two story house. Fortunately, we were able to relocate it to the back yard.
