2009 Part 1

March 26 ~ Home Built Tank
If this guy can build a home made Lamborghini then I should be able to do a Tiger Tank. I’d have to reinforce my driveway…and knock out the second story to heighten the garage. Maybe an Abrams tank, that would make for one great july 4th party.

March 26 ~ Spring Break
Well it’s my first spring break in 11 years! What would I do IF I didn’t have a full time job? Probably sit on the couch. Sure I could make something up like visit the world’s largest ball of twine or tour some other national treasure. But, I will not tempt myself into thinking that I could actually do those things.

March 23 ~ Mulch is in!

Mar 18 ~ 114mm Telescope
I scored a 4.5 inch reflector from a coworker. It’s nothing fancy, but it will be lighter to lug around than my 10 inch and better to risk with the kids. I got the tube rings in the mail so that I can mount it on my mount. Maybe I’ll get back into astronomy – like I have the time.

Mar 18 ~ Disney
We have annual passes till mid summer. Must find time to go again. I am impressed that the Magic Kingdom operates not one but two (matching) steam trains, not steam look-a-likes powered by propane or diesel. Jack likes..alot.
I think that Cinderella’s Castle is probably one of the most photographed structures in the world. Everyone who enters that place must gets at least 10 shots of it.

Mar 18 ~ Mulch and Sod
This weekend we mulch the front yard. Soon we re-sod the back. It’s dead and creeping into the neighbor’s yard. Tax refunds at work.

Mar 18 ~ I Really Dig Chemistry
Too bad that’s not a path that I can pursue. But really, I dig it. I can see the depths of its madness though. You can always dig deeper into its theoretical shadows. The math is awesome I imagine. Scary, but exciting.
~Brett

March ~ Tristan’s Teeth
He lost his first tooth on Saturday, followed a few days later, Thursday by his second. Both of them were the front bottoms. The Tooth Fairy took one and left a two-dollar bill. The other is being kept for prosperity.
